The Power of a Seed
For scientist Jeremy, bio began in middle school science class where he grew a seven foot giant sunflower from one seed. “I was shocked at the power of the seed and began asking deep questions in science class”.
This budding scientist could hardly predict that today a $10.5 million research project would be established to map the sunflower genome in an effort to identify genes for seed oil content, flowering, drought and pest tolerance. The information will be used to effectively crossbreed a standard sunflower with the Texas Silverleaf species yielding a hybrid ideal for both food and fuel.
That is a powerful seed. What sprouted your Bio?
